Josephine (Gaio) Fanale
One week short of her 101st birthday, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, Friday, March 1, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Dante Fanale; mother of Peggy (Jim) Budnik, Nancy (Ned) Eldridge, and Kathy (Dan) Novakovich; grandmother of Erin (Bobby), Michael, Lindsey (Aaron), Haley (John) Evan, and Maresa (Ethan); great-grandmother of Allison, Brooks, Connor, Nolan, Arthur, Stanley, Anya, Lola, Mila, and Bear; sister of the late Ricky, Edward, John, Robert, Atoinette, Eleanor, and Mary. She was a longtime resident of Penn Hills and an active member of St. Gerard Majella Church. She enjoyed many years of volunteering at the Penn Hills Service Association. The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff members of Atria at Cranberry Woods for their care.
