Mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend…
Age 87, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born in Tower Hill #2, Republic, PA to the late Wilbert C. Cooper Sr., and the late Mary (Poole) Cooper. She is survived by daughters Cynthia I. Lee (Texas), Rhonda T. Lee Talley (Lee), granddaughter Tina Lee Taylor and bonus daughter, Ronneak M. Lee (MN), sisters Joyce Cooper, Carolyn Cooper, Claudia Cooper, brothers, Pete Cooper, and Ronald Cooper, and a whole host of nieces, nephews and their families.
She attended Redstone High School. After graduation, she moved to Pittsburgh and spent several years working as an administrative assistant at Wilkinsburg High School.
She was a purchaser at Westinghouse Corporation, where she spent over two decades of tenure and enjoyed the friendships developed over the years. She moved on to the University of Pittsburgh, where she loved her job as the senior administrative assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Communications for the Office of University Communications and Public Affairs.
She was very hardworking and known for her delicious cooking, making all holidays easy, engaging, and entertaining for her family.
She was a gentle soul and will be remembered for her generosity, love, tireless work ethic, and her selfless heart. She gave without expecting anything in return, stood strong through life's hardest moments, and left an imprint on everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lorraine A. Lee, mother, Mary (Poole) Cooper, father, Wilbert C Cooper Sr., brothers, Terry Cooper, Major Cooper, Emmett Cooper, and sister Jacklyn Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in 2026.
