David George Felmley

Of Penn Hills, born December 9, 1934 passed away April, 12, 2017. A great father and a friend to many, passed away peacefully after holding off cancer for 17 years.  Preceded in death by spouse of 40 years Donna Jean, 1942 to 2003.  Survived by two sons, Gregory and Thomas Annette (Merlino) Felmley, and one granddaughter, Leia. Brother- and sister-in-law Jeff and Edie Dull and their children, as well as other nephews, nieces and cousins.  David worked for 37 years for Westinghouse Electric Company, and was a regular attendee of the Westinghouse Trades Apprentice Alumni Association’s dinners, as he started there as a teenager.  After Westinghouse, he and Donna opened Attic Antiques, a small shop in Delmont PA.  A devoted hobbyist, collecting antiques and toy trains over more than fifty years, David was pleased to share his hobby with many friends in various associations.  One of the co-authors of a well respected book on Lionel trains, he was often consulted for information or to make repairs in his home machine shop.  As a race mechanic, in 1962 his car won the first sanctioned race ever run at the Mid Ohio race course.
