Cathy A. (Brown) Brenner
Age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Point Park College with a degree in early education. She spent the first part of her career as a Montessori teacher, which she enjoyed immensely. After returning to Pittsburgh, she worked for the Allegheny Court of Common Pleas in the Pre-sentence Investigation Unit. After retirement, she primarily enjoyed spending time with her family, using her time to play with and to teach her granddaughters how to cook, bake and sew. She would often say they were her heart. She was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn (Swartz) Brown, her father, Lawrence Brown, and her brother Thomas Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Caliari (Paul) and three granddaughters whom she adored and who adored her: Jordan, Katie and Elena Caliari. Friends received at William F. Gross Funeral Home 11735 Frankstown Rd. (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills where a blessing service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 11 a.m. Visitation Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. We will be following COVID-19 State guidelines.
