Eugene A. “Gene” Kunkel
Age 86, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Beloved husband of 66 years to Carolyn (Berg); father of Susan Luffy, Eugene (Debi) Kunkel, Col. Nancy Kunkel, Gary (Judy) Kunkel, Virginia (Rich) Bodnar, and Deborah (Duke) Denne; grandfather of Robert, Lindsey, Olivia, Abby, Ashley, and Michael; great-grandfather of Tyler, Shane, Lila, Marcus, and Londyn; brother of Richard Kunkel and the late Sister M. Francesca, Harry, and Charles. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was a proud US Army veteran.
