Carl F. Smith
Age 75, of Churchill, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Friday, June 3, 2022. Beloved husband of Fran Amore; father of Lisa (Mark) Youngo and Nikki (Bruce) Loughner; step-father of Patrick and Vanessa Amore; grandfather of Anthony and Giuliana Youngo and Lexi, Nate, and Parker Loughner; son of the late William Smith and Gladys (Hassenplug) Zayc; brother of the late Gerald F. Smith and William Smith. After graduation from Braddock High School, Carl joined the US Navy and served as a Seabee during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked many years for Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh before starting his own electrical company, “Smith Electric”. Carl was the former proprietor of Hotel Puhala, Fairways, Gasoline Alley, and PT Pub and Grub. He was a member of the Norwin Elks and Edgewood Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf.
