Michael J. Haraburda
Age 87, born in Braddock, PA, Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Ella (Koshinsky) Haraburda; father of Michael A. Haraburda and Paula H. (Christopher) Lafean; grandfather of Christine (David) Bossung; great-grandfather of Calleigh Bossung. Michael Retired from Gulf Research as an instrument technician working with the gulf racing team. Prior to gulf, he served in the US Air Force as a flight engineer on a B29 in Okinawa.

Michael E. Hollis

Age 87, of Penn Hills, on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Beloved husband of Grace; father of Judith (Richard) Eiben, Michael (Marlene) Hollis, Mark (Karen) Hollis, Diane (John) Santo, Linda (Steve) Eicheldinger, Nancy (Jim) Smathers, Daniel (Annette) Hollis; brother of Helen Donaldson, Patricia (Dennis) King, Grace (Dan) Sunseri and the late Suzanna Kaczynski; also survived by 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one late grandchild.

Robert C. McKeown

Age 77, of Penn Hills, born, September 1, 1940, passed away, June 20, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Mary McKeown; father of Carole McKeown and Donna (Matt) Cogley; grandfather of Nicole and Michael Rengers; also survived by his good friends at beechtree commons..

Charles Matthew Garland

of Penn Hills, age 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 21st at his residence, surrounded by family. Born November 3rd, 1934 to Joseph and Rachel (Colucci) Garland. Charles graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1952, where he played football and baseball. After graduation, Charles joined the Army and was stationed in Alaska as a heavy mortar gunner during the Korean War. Upon returning from the service, Charles played for the 1957 season Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League team as pitcher. Charles worked at Westinghouse, where he met Dianne Schafer. They were married on June 7 th , 1958 at Saint Colemans in Turtle Creek. Together they shared over 60 years of happiness. Beloved father of Joseph (Gina), Charles (Keri), and Gregory (Marlene); grandfather to Vincent. Preceded in death by his brothers Anthony “Texas Tony,” Francis “Frankie” and Joseph Garland; survived by sisters Thresa (Jack) Yurman and Angela Lardo; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Charles was a genuinely kind man; a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will always be missed.

Dorothy M. Gaus
devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died peacefully on June 15, 2018 at her home in Penn Hills at the age of 90.  Born Dorothy Marie Markum on September 15, 1927, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late John J. Markum and Jennie (Konchan) Markum.  Dorothy dedicated her life to her husband and family and was cherished by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl J. Gaus, Jr., sisters Pauline G. Markum and Betty J. Markum, both from Johnstown, son Daniel J. Gaus, Pittsburgh, and daughter Judith A. Rassias, Pittsburgh.
Dorothy is survived by these children: Paul J. Gaus of Penn Hills, Thomas A. (Jennifer) Gaus of Plum, Richard E. (Dorothy) Gaus of Greensburg, Janet G. (Mark) Schepcoff of TX, Ruth A. Gaus of CA, Susan D. Podobnik of Plum; these grandchildren: Neil, Andrew, Joshua & Chelsea Gaus, Sara, Michael & Anna Schepcoff, Shaelyn & Travis Watson, Sharon & Daniel Podobnik; and great-granddaughters: Scarlette & Evelyn Gaus.
Friends will be received at the William F. Gross Funeral Home, Ltd., 11735 Frankstown Road  (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills, Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral prayers will be Monday at 11:30 a.m., with Mass of Christian burial at Saint Bartholomew Church at 12 Noon.  Dorothy will be interred with her dear husband at the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville, PA.
