
Frank A. DeGasperi
Age 91, formerly of Penn Hills, PA and Beverly Hills, FL, passed away peacefully Monday, January 26, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Mary DeGasperi; father of the late Louise Kapfer, Marie (Norm) Schwartzmeier, and Elda (Rich) Bertan; grandfather of Jim (Emily) Schwartzmeier, Dominic (Nicole) Bertan, and Benjamin Bertan; great-grandfather of Lexie and Thomas Schwartzmeier; brother of the late Donna (suriving Bob) Reichert; uncle of Renee (Garrett) Bagley, Treva, and Rob Reichert; great uncle of Paige Bagley. Beloved father, brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather for over 50 years to Mary’s family of Nick (Anne) Lombardo and Carol Ackley, the late Dolly and Bill Hagmaier and their family, Ann (Joe) Ackley-Fifer and Julia (Chad) Dearborn, Serenity Asbury, Alex Hafner, Paige and Ryann O’Connor, Bella and Chaz Dearborn and “adopted daughter” Elizabeth Jane Detweiler.
Frank was the son of the late Helen (Ensslin) and Adam DeGasperi. He was a proud Navy veteran and served the Pittsburgh area for 38 years as a letter carrier in the US Postal Service. He was a devoted father, an avid hunter and sport fisherman, and a talented DIY craftsman. He will be lovingly remembered by his two immediate families, caregiver Holly Clark, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Stephen Anthony “Steve” Colligan
With sadness, we share that our dear Steve (Stevie) Colligan, age 62, of Penn Hills, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at home with a gentle smile on his face. He is at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Steve was a loving husband to Marcia (Januck) for 35 years, beloved brother to Bob (Patti), Paul (Joanne), Joe (Deeann), Mary (Bill), fond son in-law to Judith and the late Joseph Januck, caring uncle to 21 nieces and nephews, and proud godfather to Alex. He is preceded in death by his mother Dolly, who remains an everlasting beacon of unconditional love to us. We all joyfully know that Steve was mom’s favorite child, and he will be remembered by so many as their favorite.
Steve lived a life centered on family, friendship, and plenty of good times along the way. To know Steve was to love him. He is the strongest, most resilient person that we know. He took on serious challenges against overwhelming odds with amazing grace, dignity and courage. Through it all, never complaining, always positive even during the most difficult circumstances. Steve's legacy is one of kindness, zest for life, and inspiration.
Steve was a graduate of Penn Hills High School (1982) and a lifelong resident. He was a friend to all. Since childhood, he was fiercely independent running his own businesses (landscaping, snow removal, masonry) and enjoyed his leadership role at the Shop-‘n-Save Deli over many years.
He was simply a good man - honest, hardworking, fun, and loyal. He’ll now be cheering for the Steelers from the 50-yard line above.
Steve walked this earth as a Christian through his daily actions and love of others (John 13:34-35).
While we wish that he had more time, we are eternally grateful for the blessing of Steve's life.

Robert J. “Bob” Slavik
Age 82, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, Monday, January 19, 2026. Beloved husband of Carmen and the late Bonnie (Nasiadka); father of Michael (Laura) Slavik, Erika Slavik, and Cindy (Robert) Hucko; step-father of Sharon Gonzalez and Mark Arroyo; grandfather of Kenneth, James, Sarah, Donovan, Ava, and Rylee; step-grandfather of Mark Robinson and Asia Lee Arroyo; great-grandfather of Royce; step-great-grandfather of Kiyanni Sue; brother of George (Linda) Slavik, David (Charlene) Slavik, and the late Linda Slavik. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob loved to spend his time gardening, watching the Steelers, dancing, and watching golf. June W. Fong
Age 98, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Yuen 'Louie' Fong, mother of Millie (Robert) Kitchin, Shirley Fong, Eileen (Christopher) Ng, Nancy (Robert) Lingg, and Christine (James) Bradshaw; grandmother of Lisa and David Kitchin, Jennifer (Steven) Lai, Danielle Lingg, and Ian and Seth Bradshaw; great-grandmother of Nicholas Lai. Born in Guangdong Province, China, in 1927, June immigrated to the United States in 1948 with her beloved husband, beginning a new chapter of life together. June supported her husband, Louie, by working alongside him in his laundry business. Among her special talents were cooking Chinese specialties, making paper flowers, and sewing stylish clothing. She was a devoted and loving mother who took great joy in sharing her cooking techniques and treasured family recipes with her daughters. Her other interests, traveling with her family and visiting botanical gardens, reflected her deep appreciation for beauty and nature. Over the course of her 98 years, she journeyed to many destinations across the United States and abroad. June lived a full and meaningful life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ottie M. Lee (Cooper)
Mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend…
Age 87, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born in Tower Hill #2, Republic, PA to the late Wilbert C. Cooper Sr., and the late Mary (Poole) Cooper. She is survived by daughters Cynthia I. Lee (Texas), Rhonda T. Lee Talley (Lee), granddaughter Tina Lee Taylor and bonus daughter, Ronneak M. Lee (MN), sisters Joyce Cooper, Carolyn Cooper, Claudia Cooper, brothers, Pete Cooper, and Ronald Cooper, and a whole host of nieces, nephews and their families.
She attended Redstone High School. After graduation, she moved to Pittsburgh and spent several years working as an administrative assistant at Wilkinsburg High School.
She was a purchaser at Westinghouse Corporation, where she spent over two decades of tenure and enjoyed the friendships developed over the years. She moved on to the University of Pittsburgh, where she loved her job as the senior administrative assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Communications for the Office of University Communications and Public Affairs.
She was very hardworking and known for her delicious cooking, making all holidays easy, engaging, and entertaining for her family.
She was a gentle soul and will be remembered for her generosity, love, tireless work ethic, and her selfless heart. She gave without expecting anything in return, stood strong through life's hardest moments, and left an imprint on everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lorraine A. Lee, mother, Mary (Poole) Cooper, father, Wilbert C Cooper Sr., brothers, Terry Cooper, Major Cooper, Emmett Cooper, sister, Jacklyn Cooper, and former spouse and father of her children, Ronald T. Lee.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in 2026.
Rest in peace ‘Pretty Lady’. You will forever be in our hearts. Your memory will live on.
