Stephen W. Schuda, Jr., age 78, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Pittsburgh, PA died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Hilton Head Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Schuda was born on May 25, 1938 in East Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Stephen W. Schuda and Elizabeth Marie Renchko Schuda. He was a 1960 graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. He worked with State Farm Insurance Company where he retired as an Operations Manager after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and after being honorably discharged, continued to serve in civil service for 20 years during which he served on the draft board. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as Scout Master.
Mr. Schuda is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Schuda; daughter, Susan Mary Shirron (John) of Santa Cruz, CA; son, Stephen J. Schuda (Linda) of Downingtown, PA; brother, Richard J. Schuda of Pittsburgh, PA; and grandchildren, Matthew, Anne, and Meghan Shirron as well as Jenna and Rachel Schuda.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. A prayer service will take place at 6:30 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909.
Final services and entombment will take place at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Monroeville, PA. The funeral procession will leave at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from William F. Gross Funeral Home, 11735 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235-3484. (412)242-6540.

Age 97, of O’Hara Township, on Saturday March 11, 2017. Husband of the late Sue Ann and Rita; father of Earl Secola and Donna Serraro; grandfather of Bretton, Steele and Pierce Secola, and Holly, Gina, Cyrus and Laura Serraro; great-grandfather of Brooke and Avery Secola, Olympic, Orlando, Emilia and Sebastian Serraro. No daughter or son could have asked for a more loving and caring father. He touched the lives of many and was loved by all.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Mihm; mother of Judy (Jerry), Frank II (Mary), John, Ron (Vonetta), Ken (Amy), Steven (Amy); also survived by her sister Dorothy; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
