Ronald L. “Ronnie” Haten
PROLOGUE
Ronald L. “Ronnie” Haten was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 30, 1967, to Gloria L. Wilson-Clemons and Reginald L. Haten. Being the youngest on both maternal and paternal sides, Ronald was spoiled and loved by all of his family. Throughout his life, Ronald was lively and full of undeniable charisma, allowing him to befriend people from all walks of life and bring smiles and laughter wherever he went.
ACT I – HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
In his youth, Ronald attended No. 12 Elementary School and John Marshall High School in Rochester, New York. He later chose to complete his education by earning his GED. Ronnie shared a close bond with his siblings and their children, relationships he cherished deeply.
One shared memory from Ronnie’s adolescent years, was the fact that he would go to grocery stores (Wegman’s and Star Market) on West Avenue and carry bags to the cars of shoppers exiting the store in order to make spending money. After making his money from work, Ronnie never hesitated to share his earnings with his siblings.
ACT II – THE GOLDEN AGE
Approximately 30 years ago, Ronnie relocated from Rochester, NY to Pittsburgh, PA. As Ronnie grew older, he became the proud father of three sons: Pastor Kori Haten, Daemon Choat, and Can’Ron Haten. On February 12, 2010, he married Kinyanna Haten in Tarentum, PA, with his mother Gloria on the phone as a witness from his former home in Rochester, NY. Through this union, Ronnie lovingly embraced his role as a stepfather to Corday Hairston, Amere Hairston-Patterson, and De’marea Hairston-Patterson, now blending his family as a unit.
Ronnie was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in his work at Langeloth Metallurgical located in Washington, PA, where he was employed for six years. In 2019, he gave his life to God and was baptized at Vermont Baptist Church in Tarentum, PA. A devout believer, he found joy in reading the Bible and sharing its teachings with others. Ronnie treasured time spent with family and friends, his beloved dogs, Diesel and Nyla, and unwinding with YouTube videos after work. He had a deep love for seafood and music, especially jazz. Despite the long hours he worked, Ronnie remained energetic, kind, and generous. He was someone who could lift spirits, make anyone laugh, and remind others of the beauty in life.
ACT III — FINAL YEARS
In his later years, Ronnie became the best version of himself. He enjoyed riding his motorbike and remained adventurous to the end. His marriage, faith, and dedication to family and friends remained steadfast. His grandchildren—Daemon Jr., RoMaro (his birthday twin), Nova, and Makaio, gave him a renewed appreciation for life and inspired his continued growth as a man, husband, father and grandfather. Ronnie was human, like us all—imperfect, yet unafraid to face his flaws. Ronnie was a strong-willed man who believed in and bet on himself in any situation he faced. He understood that only his Lord and Savior would be his final judge.
EPILOGUE
Ronnie transitioned his earthly life March 29, 2026. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria L. Wilson-Clemons; his father, Reginald L. Haten; and a brother, Reginald Hayden (Haten). He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Kinyanna Haten; his children: Pastor Kori Haten, Daemon Choat, Can’Ron Haten, Corday Hairston, Amere Hairston-Patterson, and De’marea Hairston-Patterson; grandchildren: Daemon Jr., RoMaro, Nova, and Makaio; his brothers, Bishop Harold (Georgia) Wilson and Nathaniel Johnson; his sisters: Vondaleer Worsley, Diane (Samuel) Carter, Wanda (Dennis) Ferguson, and Robin Haten; as well as one aunt, three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
Ronnie’s sudden ascension leaves us all aghast, but Ronnie’s light will never dim—it will continue to shine through every person whom he encountered during his lifetime.

The Family will receive friends Friday, April 24th 6-8pm at Miracle Valley Deliverance Center, 290 North St., Rochester, NY 14605. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25th 11am at Miracle Valley. Interment- Mt. Hope Cemetery. All Flowers are to be sent to Miracle Valley.
