Laurene “Laur” Alice Saylor
Age 80, of Oakmont, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was the daughter of the late John and Alice Saylor. Laur spent her working years as an electronics technician for Contraves International. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by her siblings Shirley (Ray) Wendler, Dee (the late Robert) Shirk, John (Donna) Saylor, Grace (Stephen) Tomcho and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Brian P. “Murph” Murphy
Age 48, of Penn Hills, passed away, surrounded by his family and friends, Monday, June 12, 2023. Beloved husband of Rebecca; son of Regis and Linda Murphy; brother of Erin Murphy and Lisa (Jeff) Master; uncle of Hayden Pontius, Sophia and Logan Noone, and Logan and Kendra Borkowski; son-in-law of Marc and Gail DeStout; brother-in-law of Lisa (James) Borkowski. He is also survived by his companions Gaia and Graham and Mole and Smokey. He is a graduate of Penn Hills High School and Slippery Rock University. Murph worked many different positions for KDKA for over 15 years. He had a great love for sports, especially baseball. Brian played high school baseball and more recently for Krush Softball team and Pin Pals Bowling League. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the charity of your choice.

Lawrence F. “Larry” Kirchner
Age 77, of Whitehall, formerly of Shadyside, passed away after a long illness with his family by his side Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Debra A.; father of Keith (Vo Thi Kim Thuy) Kirchner and Dylan Kirchner to Larry’s first wife Teresa Sherry; step-father of Megan (Daniel) Corbett; grandfather of Crosby Vo Kirchner and Denzel Vo Kirchner; brother of Paul Kirchner. Larry was a Central Catholic graduate where he excelled in sports. He worked at Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh as a V.P. and retired after 28 years. He was loyal and generous to his many family and friends and always enjoyed a good laugh or a song. Larry loved to golf and will be missed by many sand traps throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Barbara Ann Barbieri
Age 83, of Penn Hills entered into eternal rest surrounded by loved ones on June 10, 2023. Barbara was born January 25, 1940 to the late Elizabeth and Charles Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Carmen Barbieri.
She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School and earned two Associate Degrees from Boyce Community College. Retired after 30 years as a teachers aid for Allegheny Intermediate Unit, where she enhanced the lives and educated countless children at Dickson Elementary in Swissvale, Ramsey Elementary in Monroeville, and Washington Elementary in Penn Hills.
Throughout her life she was a masterful gardener, dabbled in many crafts, award winning artist, a happy golfer, she also enjoyed bowling and traveling, as well her retirement job at Sears. Her most fulfilling and greatest talent was her artistry of making porcelain dolls.
She will be missed by her family and friends. Barbara is survived by her children, son Carmen C. Barbieri, daughter Diana Namie and spouse George Namie, daughter Teresa Khanna and spouse Yesh Khanna, granddaughters Salina Khanna and Sonya Khanna, great grandson Holden Mason, daughter Elizabeth Barbieri Heinbaugh, grandson Jonathan Heinbaugh and spouse Emma Heinbaugh, granddaughter Elisabeth Heinbaugh, grandson Bradley Heinbaugh, son Paul Barbieri and spouse Zoila. Sisters Marilyn Wallace and Dorothy Bloom. Her brother-in-laws; Phil Barbieri, his deceased wife Aggie Barbieri, Fred Barbieri and Nancy Barbieri, and all of the ones that called her Aunt Barbie.
Barbara lived life, loved life, was kind, and never met a stranger she didn’t like.
