JoAnn Ariondo-Pugh

Age 62, of Penn Hills, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Beloved daughter of Mary (Sullivan) and the late Salvatore “Sam” Ariondo; significant other of Larry Schiller; sister of Sam Ariondo, Bob Ariondo, Terry (Todd Daly) Giordano, and Cassie (Frank) Sciulli; loving aunt of Nicole Ariondo, Frank, Anthony, and the late Ashley Giordano, Angela, Michael, and Amanda Sciulli; great aunt to her very special Kennedy Delgado. JoAnn took great pride in her nieces and nephews and treated them as her own. Each of them held a special place in her heart. She will be dearly missed by all of those that knew and loved her.

Age 66, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late James and Mary Rainey; wife of the late William Tigano; mother of Joseph (Amber) Tigano; grandmother of Ashley, Anthony and Allyson. Mary Lou was employed at PNC Bank Downtown for over 20 years.

Age 70, of Penn Hills, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. Daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Butko) Dolney; beloved wife of Stanley Pielin; mother of Jessie Graham; sister of Deborah Williams, Ralph (Georgette) Dolney, Jr., Patricia (Rege) Derry, and the late Francis Dolney; mother of her beloved fur babies Max and Mya. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gary N. Underwood

Age 74, of Penn Hills, was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was the son of Alice (Mangold) and Ernest Underwood of Bloomfield. He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Freiland), daughters Amy (Kevin) Sullivan and Lisa (Chris) Bauer and 5 grandchildren, Riley, Kaylen, Emma, Ava, and Christian. Gary is also survived by his brother Myles (Irene) and his sister Diana (Larry) Steckel. Gary had been a draftsman for various engineering companies in Pittsburgh during his 30-year career. He was also a long time ambassador for the PPG Paints Arena and enjoyed every minute of his 56 years as an usher and ticket taker welcoming all to enjoy the performance. Gary was very involved in the Penn Hills community as a committee person and as a 3 term member of Council. Always a people person, Gary was quick with a smile, a joke, or a story. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.
